A New Direction: Introducing My Enamelled Jewellery Collection
For a long time, my work has been rooted in texture and natural forms. Sea glass, organic shapes, pieces that feel like they’ve been found rather than made.
This new collection takes things in a slightly different direction.
It starts with colour.

Why Enamelling?
Enamelling is something I’ve wanted to explore properly for a while. There’s something quite addictive about it. The way powdered glass transforms under heat, melting and fusing into a smooth, glassy surface.
It’s unpredictable in the best way.
Colours shift. Gradients develop. No two firings are ever identical.
That lack of control is part of the appeal.
Each piece goes through multiple firings in the kiln, with layers built up slowly to create depth and tone.
The end result is colour that feels vibrant, but still has a softness and depth to it.
The Process

Every piece in this collection starts as a copper base.
From there, layers of finely ground enamel are applied and fired at high temperatures until they fuse to the surface. Many of the pieces are enamelled on both sides, which not only gives a more finished feel but also adds strength and balance.
Once the enamelling is complete, each piece is paired with sterling silver ear wires, bringing it back to the materials I use across the rest of my work.
It’s a slower process than it might look. There’s a lot of waiting, firing, checking, and refining along the way.
And occasionally, pieces don’t make it through. That’s just part of working with enamel.
A Shift in Style

If you’re familiar with my jewellery, you’ll know I usually lean towards subtle, organic finishes.
This collection is more expressive.
There are soft gradients, bold colour combinations, and pieces designed to catch the light differently. They’re still simple in form, but the colour does the work.
It’s been a chance to step slightly outside my usual style, without losing the handmade feel that’s at the core of everything I make.
This collection is about contrast. Clean shapes, but rich colour. Simple forms, but with more presence.
Made in Small Batches

Like all of my work, these pieces are made in small batches in my UK workshop.
Because of the process, quantities are limited and exact repeats are difficult. Even when I try to recreate a colourway, it will always come out slightly differently.
That means each piece you see is genuinely individual.
