Hallmark Information

This Dealers Notice is a legal requirement for all jewellers and precious metal dealers in the UK. It explains how hallmarking works, what the symbols mean, and why hallmarking protects you as a customer. Displayed in accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973, this notice ensures full transparency and helps you identify genuine gold, silver, platinum, and palladium items.

Most of my silver jewellery pieces are below the UK statutory hallmarking weight of 7.78 grams and are therefore not hallmarked, in line with legal requirements.

Any items over this weight will be hallmarked as standard. If you’d like a lighter piece hallmarked, this can be arranged for an additional charge—just get in touch.
