March Meet the Maker
Last month I had the pleasure of taking part in the March Meet The Maker initiative on Facebook & Instagram. This has been an opportunity to show my followers a little more about me & the journey that got me here, along with getting to know so much about other marvellous makers.
Here are some of the highlight prompts I participated in:
-
Style
I consider my pieces to have everyday, classic style. Most pieces could be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion
-
Beliefs & Values
I had the opportunity to discuss the core values and beliefs that underpin my work, including Inclusivity, Authenticity, Customer Service, Environmental Awareness, Continuous Improvement and Community Over Competition
-
Newest Make
At the time, I had just introduced my Rainbow Crystal Earrings
-
Work In Progress
You may have noticed I've made a lot of changes and adjustments to the website and photography. I'm so pleased to introduce my rewards programme. Have you signed up?
-
Learning Curve
I documented learning a new technique, saw piercing. You can see a video of my saw pierced molten heart studs being made here
-
Priorities
Creating this got me thinking about my focus and priorities in life and business. As a mum with a young and active family I find myself juggling time in the workshop with family time. I really appreciate the flexibility of being self employed, even though that sometimes means I sacrifice sleep
-
Silver Lining
As I already hinted at above, Impressums Jewellery really has been my silver lining in a year that has been tough
-
Starting Point
For me, the starting point was only a matter of months ago. But looking back, it's clear my work has come on so much. It's exciting to look back and wonder about the future.
Did you discover any fantastic makers in the March Meet the Maker Event? Did you take part?
